Starcoin Stunners #4

Here we go – more starcoin outfits! This week I went with a black, red, and grey theme. I think this colour scheme is very versatile and timeless. I tried to create three differing looks – super casual, daytime, and formal. My favourite look of all is certainly look two as for me, it’s the most chic and interesting. I love this patterned midi skirt, it’s very detailed, eye-catching and adds texture to the look overall. I hope you like this week’s style inspiration, if not, there’s always next week!

Look One: Vinyl vintage ying yang shirt, ItGirls black miniskirt, Vinyl blue rebel cap, and Windows on The World yamamoto inspired sneakers.
Look Two: Bonjour Bizou heather laced top, Pearls printed midi skirt, Pearls concho buckle belt, Pearls. Mini tiffin bag, and Rio finish line heels.
Look Three: Vinyl hipster 70s inspired tshirt, Vinyl black denim cut off dress, and Rio maroon glitter platforms

Trend Alert: Trainers

Trend Items: Nelly low rise sneakers, 9 to 5 programmer strap sneakers, Vinyl grey suede sneakers, and Windows on The World yamamoto inspired sneakers.

This is a trend that I am totally down for – incorporating trainers and sneakers into a look. I am obsessed with trainers, especially in real life. Trainers are not only super comfortable, but they look great both in a casual styling or for adding to a more formal look. The looks I have styled here are both casual and formal, to help give perspective of easy it is to style trainers.
Here I have picked out my top four trainers currently on sale, and styled them accordingly.

Hot Item!

Hot Item: ItGirls HotBuys miu miu inspired jewel bag.

Another HotBuys release – this time its this super cute bag inspired by Miu Miu. It’s a lovely peachy-pink colour, which seems to be a common thread in the HotBuys releases lately, as evident in the metallic peach pump item. This bag is a little bit hard to style I think, because it is so detailed and has hints of blue as well in the buckle. However, I tried to style it with simple looks which bring out that intricate detailing.

Look One: Subcouture I scream u scream top, ItGirls simple white denim, and Velvet Orchid metallic platform sandals.
Look Two: Royalty big bow blue dress, and Bonjour Bizou HotBuys metallic peach pumps.

Style Of The Day

Items: Trails braided leather necklace, Subcouture striped turtleneck body, Callie’s Pick’s Rome skirt, Callie’s Pick’s YSL inspired shoulder bag, and The Jet Set camel strappy sandal.

And here is today & yesterday's Style Of The Day!  I really love this look because it combines three varying shades of red in the turtleneck, choker, and bag, yet they all complement each other nicely. This look is a bit more casual than I normally wear, however adding the lovely camel heel helps elevate the look slightly. By now I think it has become quite obvious that I am obsessing over these heels, and for good reason! They are chic, versatile, and look so simplistic.

Hot Item!

Hot Item: Bonjour Bizou HotBuys metallic peach pumps.

One of the latest HotBuys releases are these lovely satin-style pumps. While I have purchased the majority of the June HotBuys items, I have been struggling to style them. However, I love these shoes; they are feminine and chic. The peachy/pink colour is stunning as well, and really looks well when paired with other pink toned items. Snatch these up before they are off the shelves for good!

Look One: Pretty ‘n Love waterhole dress, Pearls drop waist frill dress, and Royalty Stella McCartney inspired bag
Look Two: Subcouture oversized pearl trench coat, Bonjour Bizou folklore half tuck shirt, and Vinyl cut-off vintage mom jeans.

Latest Buys

New items in my closet; Windows on the World lace up clear plastic heels, Callie’s Pick’s Rome skirt, and LE Proenza Schouler inspired dress.

So, I love shopping on stardoll and finding chic new items and good bargains in the starbazaar – here are three of my latest finds. Number one – these stunning Windows on the World lace up clear plastic heels, they are clear with some white lace detailing around the ankle; a super affordable piece and also lovely with any look! Second, this amazing denim skirt which is currently selling in Callie’s Pick’s, I love it, I think it’s nice and casual, a lovely mid-thigh length, and I really like the slight crumpling and ripped details. Finally, a pricier piece which I found while searching the starbazaar, this LE Proenza Schouler inspired dress. This was released a few seasons ago, but I think it’s still relevant and such a beautiful colour. I have been loving yellow lately, so this just makes me super happy!

Look One: Subcouture Valentino style sunshine dress, Rio super big golden earrings, and Windows on the World lace up clear plastic heels.
Look Two: ItGirls trumpet sleeve turtleneck, Callie’s Pick’s Rome skirt, Frankie Morello Tribute round bolt purse, and LE backless loafers

Style Of The Day

So, I was a bit slack with posting yesterday. It’s exam time at university so I’ve had to put Stardoll and this blog on hold for the time being – posts will be scarce this week until I finish on Friday – but I will try to schedule some posts today maybe so the feed isn’t completely dry for a week, we’ll see.
Anyway, here is today & yesterday’s Style Of The Day – I’m digging the geometry of this one. Geometry doesn’t have to apply specifically to literal shapes, but however lines, shape, linear aspects etc. I won’t post where each item is from as I’m short on time today, but if you wish to know, my doll will be wearing the look all day and probably tomorrow as well, so you’re welcome to check it out.

Trend Alert: Big Earrings!

I remember reading in Elle magazine about this trend for Spring 2017 - statement earrings. It was seen all throughout the runway shows, and I think its an awesome trend applicable to street-wear as well. Here I have created three distinct looks with three distinct earring pieces. The most challenging to style was certainly the Trails earrings in Look Three. While the Antidote earrings in Look One are no longer available, I highly recommend you consider buying the other two pairs - if you're feeling daring.

Look One: Antidote earrings, Subcouture dress, Subcouture boots
Look Two: Rio earrings, Subcouture top, ItGirls denim, LE slides
Look Three: Trails earrings, ItGirls HotBuys jacket, Pearls dress, Gucci Tribute wedges

Inspired by Spring 2017 runway: Proenza Schouler, CG by Chris Gelinas, Delpozo, Altuzarra, and Creatures of the Wind.

Starcoin Stunners #2

This week for Starcoin Stunners I wanted to try to create three distinct looks with the limited clothing that I have: executive chic, hipster, and Coachella ready! My favourite look of the three is definitely the third look, it reminds me of the late 90’s and 00’s fashion trends, but with a modern twist. I always think it is important to dedicate a feature to non-ss membes, because I remember how hard it is to find clothing priced in sc; everything nowadays is made for superstar and royalty members really.

When looking for starcoin items I recommend investing in items which can be styled in many different ways – that way you get your money’s worth. So, items like white t-shirts, jeans, plain items, all are good investments as they will never go out of style and you will always be able to style them. Investable items include the Vinyl t-shirt in look three, the Wild Candy skirt in look three, the Vinyl jeans in look two, Vinyl sandals in look two, and the Pearls peep toe heels in look one.

Look One: Pearls sleek wrap dress, Starpoint Rewards perfectly styled scarf, Bonjour Bizou marsala side fringe tote, and Pearls suede peep-toe platforms.

Look Two: Bonjour Bizou draped print tube, Vinyl baggy jeans, and Vinyl faux patent strappy sandals.

Look Three: Starpoint Rewards vintage chain sunglasses, Vinyl hipster 70s style tshirt, Wild Candy scalloped denim skirt, Pearls concho buckle belt, Wild Candy straw clutch, and Trails trail sandals.

Top Picks: Bags

Clutches and mini-bags are the perfect accessory to top off any outfit. They add dimension, texture, colour, and shape. Here are my Top Picks – the varying clutches and bags you need to have!

OneBonjour Bizou mini tiffin bag
TwoStarpoint Rewards modern clutch
ThreeMr laptop case
FourWild Candy straw clutch

These are my top four favourite clutches at the moment! I think I am loving them due to their natural/earthy colours, making them very versatile pieces. First, I love this burgundy Bonjour Bizou mini bag, it’s the perfect classic item in my opinion. It is a great accessory for all sorts of ensembles, particularly stylings featuring white and black colours. My second pick is this ah-mazing Starpoint Rewards clutch. I love this item becayse of the crème, pink, and baby blue hues – making it the perfect piece to suit all sorts of clothing. In particular I have found that it suits the latest Subcouture items really nicely. Thirdly, this unisex case from Mr; which is simplistic and stunning. I love this piece because it is unisex, and it is a basic colour, not an assortment of colours, making it a nice accessory for any ensemble. Finally, this gorgeous canvas clutch from the latest Wild Candy release. I love the textured detailing which would heighten and look, as well as bring a beachy vibe.

OneFrankie Morello Tribute round bolt purse
TwoRoyalty McCartney inspired clutch
ThreeSubcouture feathers and stripes shoulder bag
FourBuy & Get fashion week shoulder bag

And here are my top four over-the-shoulder bags. Shoulder bags are a bit harder to style I think, they aren’t the last piece you add, but rather the piece you style your whole look around – that’s what I do at least. The first bag that I love is the Frankie Morello bag. I bought this back in 2013 I think, but it is still super chic by today’s standards. It’s awesome when paired with items also possessing metals – such as earrings, or metallic shoes. Second, this gorgeous and exclusively Royalty item. This bag is an amazing pinkish nude tone, making it easy to pair with other items. It’s very easily styled-down or made more formal, it all depends on the other pieces that you pair with it. Subcouture has done some pretty avant-garde bags in the past, and this one is no exception. It is stunning. Brightly coloured feathers line the black and white striped piece. It is and eye-catching piece, which is lovely on a ‘business’ or ‘all-black’ look. Finally, this Chloé replica.  I received this piece when I paid for my Royalty status. I love it. It is a great item which adds a fashion-forward flair to any look, not to mention that it is very on-trend right now in real life.

Style Of The Day

I can’t choose between the two variations, I love them both. Totally digging this look, which incorporates my ancient twiggy shirt, I’m fairly sure I have never worn it.

Look One: Vinyl cut off vintage mom jeans, Archive twiggy mouse shirt, Evil Panda cropped turtleneck, Window On The World Yamamoto inspired sneakers, Vinyl fishnet socks, and Starpoint Rewards vintage chain sunglasses.

Look Two: Vinyl cut off vintage mom jeans, Archive twiggy mouse shirt, Pretty n Love black light ribbed body, Window On The World Yamamoto inspired sneakers, Vinyl fishnet socks, and Starpoint Rewards vintage chain sunglasses.

Trend Alert: Sporty Streetwear!

I remember reading an article in Vogue some months ago about wearing sportswear and turning it into high-fashion streetwear; which is what I have tried to emulate here with my own renditions of this idea. I think it’s such a cool contrast of pieces; sporty items made more fashionable and formal. Here I have taken three sporty items from the starplaza and attempted to make them more high-fashion.

Look One: Subcouture ripped denim swing coat, Pretty n Love delicate silk cami, Wild Candy satin drawstring pants, and The Jet Set camel strappy sandals.

Look Two: Stardoll Feat. Frankiez12 off shoulder bomber, Fallen Angel tube top, Active black tight training pants, Original Future BW zipped sneakers, and Special Offer gold seventies sunnies.

Look Three: Evil Panda cropped turtleneck, ItGirls Victoria top, Rio HotBuys front bow cropped top, Active tracksuit jacket, Active tracksuit pants, Bonjour Bizou HotBuys No5 purse, and Nelly multistrip heel sandal.

Doll-Watch

Stardoll user Minihel is one of my favourites. I can’t recall how I discovered her page, but I am so thankful that I did; her style is daring, and arguably timless. She writes in her presentation that “it’s still 1975, right??” which is an ode to her sense of style – seventies inspired, free, and hippie-chic. She oozes effortless originality, which is somewhat of a rarity nowadays. I love her use of browns, a colour which is often avoided when styling because it is not thought of as ‘modern’ or 'versatile'. Her styling, as evident above, perfectly incorporates texture to heighten a look. It is refreshing to see a doll which is not covered in excessive contour and overly-highlighted face masks; she uses contour and masks which suit the skin-tone of her doll, creating a simplistic yet realistic looking doll in a tasteful manner. I adore Minihel’s seventies style, it is chic and daring, also very appealing to the eye. Do go visit her page to see her style, which I have been loving for the past few weeks.

Style Of The Day

Items: Subcouture attitude t-shirt dress, Evil Panda cropped turtleneck, Callie’s Pick’s distressed boyfriend jeans, Pearls mini tiffin bag, and PPQ pointed mules.

For today’s style, I was inspired by androgynous and masculine styles; which is emulated through the baggy boyfriend jeans and the large t-shirt dress. Dressing with such an androgynous style is feminised slightly by my wind-stricken wig. I love this look as I think the black, white, and burgundy tones complement each other very nicely.

Style Of The Day

Items: Limited Edition Sass and Bide inspired top, ItGirls patch denim midi skirt, The Jet Set camel strappy sandals, Bonjour Bizou checked clutch purse.

I am totally ‘heart-eyeing’ this style! The multi-toned denim looks amazing when paired with the geometric/starry-night sheer top. I went with the nude heels because the look could become a bit overwhelming if there was an excess of black. But just to have some consistency, I added this geometric patterned clutch. This look is amazing, I am so happy with it.

Top Picks: Wigs

Wigs, wonderful wigs! I think I speak for most when I say that buying a new wig is so exciting and fun. That’s the cool thing about Stardoll, you can completely change your look – one day you could have an androgynous wig, another day could be old Hollywood glamour style!

The first wig is just that, old Hollywood Glamour. Made by user Claudentia. I love it. It is sold in two parts, both for 89sd, but is totally worth it in my opinion. The wig comes with no gaps, so you don’t have to add any parts yourself – which is certainly an awesome detail. The colouring is stunning also, with highlights at the height of the waves, it truly is detailed and realistic. The second wig was my first wig investment in about 2 years, I found it in the bazaar of creator Partystar66. Its great in my opinion, and for some reason reminds me of Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. It’s such a cool, messy style. Subtle red highlights are present all throughout providing dimension. This wig makes me feel a lot more adventurous when dressing my doll as well. It’s an amazing design. My third pick is this super chic straight fringed do by Vetala. When I saw this piece, I knew I had to have it; it’s a bit timeless. The colouring is nice, being a light brown with dark browns present more towards the roots. A fringe adds a cool aspect to any design, and makes a doll more pronounced from others. I am totally obsessed with this wig and how it makes even a simple outfit look dressed-up. Finally, I am loving my latest purchase; a textured blonde wig by renowned designer FGH.FGH. It came in two parts at 89sd each – but is worth it’s price tag in my opinion. It is intricately detailed, with individual strands of hair tousled all over, creating a wind-blow effect. This wig looks expensive, it is stunning.

Wild Candy Release

Wild Candy just released a new line of clothes – which means more starcoin options! The pieces available are quite pricey though, in my opinion. There are some really nice items though, and I am loving the colour scheme of oranges, khakis, pinks, and cremes. I picked up three items before I went bust: a dress, a pair of heels, and some track pants.

The track pants are quite nice, a nice grey colour as well making them quite versatile. Also, the detailing on them is cool, the crumpling up the top and the drawstring – all adding a realistic element. Orange is a stunning colour, and this dress just confirms that further. A stunningly vivid colour, I decided to pair this dress with some equally beautiful navy items; a turtleneck and chunky sandal. To add some earthy tones, I accessorised with this large clutch/case. Finally, the heels, which are so nice, they are on trend and are a nice crème/baby pink colour. I styled these heels with a multicoloured turtleneck, which features black, red, and crème colours. For bottoms, I used these harem pants, which are pretty hit-or-miss, but I like them styled with these pieces.

Look One: Wild Candy satin drawstring pants – 180sc, ItGirls passepartout grey blouse, Rio HotBuys front bow crop top, Pearls mini tiffin bag, and Rio finish line heels.

Look Two: Wild Candy orange bodycon dress – 270sc, ItGirls trumpet sleeve turtleneck, Clique black platforms, and MR laptop case.

Look Three: Wild Candy cutout stilettos – 180sc, Museum Mile 1986 JPG sweater, and Bonjour Biziou black harem pants.

Style Of The Day

Items: Subcouture ripped denim swing coat, Nelly addicted rib top, The Jet Set camel strappy sandals.

The style I have gone with today was inspired by a look I saw on another user. I loved that she paired the denim against the nude, which I wanted to replicate. To make the denim jacket the focal point, I paired this look with these super classic nude strappy heels. I love this look, and I think it really suits the wig that I currently have on!
