Accessories make the world go ‘round. One such accessory is headwear.
Headwear includes, but is not limited to: hats, berets, beanies, headbands,
scarfs, flowers – anything for decorating a head! In this feature, I show you
how I have styled berets and hats. Wide brim hats totally make me think of
Meryl Streep in ‘She Devil’ – a rich
mistress, successful woman, power. Berets on the other hand have always
reminded me of winter and a Parisian style – I think everyone associates them
with Parisian to some extent. I have decided to style my hats in a high-fashion
and stylish manner. How would a successful gold-digger attend her husband’s
funeral? Like this. That’s my thought process haha. For the berets, I have created
a more innocent and casual vibe. While the first, white beret, is styled super
casual with double denim, the second is styled as inspired by a seventies image
– browns, browns, browns. While I do not often wear hats or any headwear for that
matter, I really do love and can appreciate the power of a hat when styled
nicely.
