Rivera Release

Another day, a new release - this time, Rivera. Rivera in my opinion has never really been a standout store. With bodysuits and bikinis being their main product, I'm just not so into it. However, many people do love it, and I can understand why - fun products, bright colours, tight silhouettes. The release last night was a surprise, I kind of think of Rivera as a 'filler store', just there to increase quantity. The products released were actually decent though this time. Two floors of bright, bold pieces, styled according to a beach theme. 

The first floor is super inviting and fun, with patches of pinks, yellows, reds, and blues, inviting the viewer in. I particularly like the creative donut and watermelon blow-up items, they're so playful and cute! Like I mentioned earlier, people, from what I've seen, mostly use the bathers as bodysuits, so when looking at the offerings I looked at them with a 'could this be a bodysuit?' mindsuit. The holographic mermaid bodysuit was a winner for me. Being super on-trend and targetted towards a younger demographic, I think this piece will be a hit. 

The second floor is a bit disappointing for me. I don't really see the correlation between the first and second floor. Young and fun, soon turned blue? Aside from a couple of items, most of the pieces are just a bit drab in my eyes - I can't see myself being able to style them, especially with some of those patterns. But, if I see someone style these pieces nicely, of course, my thoughts will change. For me, the pieces I don't mind is the netted blue dress at the back, the white skirt, and the pink creeper shoe. The rest, is just not really my style. While this release isn't my cup of tea, I do hope others enjoy it and are able to create some wow looks using the pieces. I'm always checking on Instagram to see!
