Basics Release

So this week a Basics released new editions, yay! I have found the last few releases to be quite underwhelming and I never purchased, so I didn't really have high hopes - but I am super impressed with what came out! Lovely dresses, turtlenecks, mules, playsuits, tops. There colour scheme was red, blue, black, and grey; a colour scheme which I think was smart to employ as it certainly would sell more product that way. I only bought three things due to a limited budget, but I plan on buying much more.
I purchased the Halter neck classic dress in black, the ribbed mock neck t-shirt in grey, and the belted waist jumpsuit in black. The halter neck dress is a little questionable, however with the right styling i think it could work! My styling for it here is not the greatest I'll admit that, but it may take a bit of experimenting I think. I love the turtleneck tops, I plan on buying it in every colour. In real life I love these kinds of tops; so glad Stardoll added them to the extensive selection. This style of top looks great with jeans, under a strappy dress, anything really - super versatile. Finally, the playsuit, which I think has been one of the more successful items on sale, I have seen it quite a bit. But all for good reason. This is so cool, chic, playful yet age-appropriate. You could style this piece up to make it more fancy, wear tops underneath like I have, wear it on it's own, make it more casual - anything really.
Overall, super impressed with this release, and I cannot wait to get my hands on more goodies!
